Somatic bodywork and nervous system support

I welcome referral relationships with licensed practitioners whose patients may benefit from adjunct somatic support.

In practice:

  • Referrals received by email or phone — no form required

  • Session receipt and general goals confirmed within 48 hours

  • Session content not shared without client consent and signed release

  • Direct contact if clinical concerns arise that appear to exceed scope

  • Brief consultation calls available for shared clients within appropriate professional bounds

Licensed providers are welcome to contact me directly to discuss fit for their patients or to schedule a professional orientation session.

THE APPROACH

Therapeutic massage at Terra Vitae is structured around nervous system state, not symptom management. Sessions are designed to support the conditions under which the body can regulate, integrate, and recover — not to force an outcome.

The clinical framework draws on:

Somatic and autonomic principles

Sessions are paced to window of tolerance, with pressure, depth, and contact adjusted continuously based on client response. The goal is not relaxation as an end state but as evidence of nervous system downregulation.

Trauma-informed contact

All work is consent-based, fully explained before initiation, and responsive to verbal and nonverbal cues. Clients retain control of pacing, pressure, and stopping at all times. No assumption is made about a client's history — the approach is appropriate whether or not trauma is part of the clinical picture.

Myofascial and tissue-level work

Sessions integrate Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, and passive stretching as indicated. Technique selection follows the tissue's response, not a predetermined protocol.

Olfactory-limbic support

Botanical aromatic formulations are available as an optional adjunct. The aromatic profile is selected based on the client's somatic state and session goals — intentional olfactory input designed to support autonomic state shifts via limbic pathway activation, not ambient scent.

WHAT YOUR PATIENTS CAN EXPECT

Sessions

Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes, held in a private suite in Orlando, Florida. The environment is designed for quiet and sensory containment — low light, controlled acoustics, no interruption.

Intake process

Intake includes a brief written health history and a verbal conversation about current goals and any relevant clinical context. Clients are never required to share more than they choose to.

Contact and booking

  • Chronic muscle tension and somatic holding related to anxiety or stress

  • Nervous system hyperarousal or hypoarousal — difficulty regulating between sessions

  • Burnout with physical sequelae — fatigue, headaches, disrupted sleep, body disconnection

  • Post-treatment recovery support — clients completing intensive therapy work who need somatic integration

  • Developing embodied body awareness as part of a broader therapeutic process

All aromatic formulations used in sessions are available for between-session support. Five blends correspond to somatic states along a regulation arc: Arrive · Let Go · Immerse · Vision · Embody.

Each blend is available as a bath brew, shower steamer, ritual body oil, and body butter — designed for daily somatic practice between sessions.

The clinical rationale: consistent aromatic input associated with a regulated somatic state can become a reactivation cue outside the session environment, supporting continuity of nervous system regulation between appointments.
